Study Points to Importance of Local Business Websites
Yet another great article that points to the importance of having a local business website and being findable via Search Engines.
I think the trends are great news – especially considering how expensive it is to place an ad in the Yellow Pages
A Fresh New Look for a Life Coach
We have just completed a project for Life Coach Aurelia Williams. She had a website built using SHMTL which is awkward to update and not easy for Aurelia to take care of. Since we moved her podcast program from HTML to WordPress the past spring, she has been anxious to see what we could do with this site.
We kept her existing logo which is quite sharp looking and not at all dated in our opinion. We built the new website look around the logo and brought in warmer colors overall. Using the Revolution Magazine Theme, we created a site with clean lines and a professional look.

We moved all of her existing content into WordPress and set up permanent redirects so that the old pages point to the new pages.
In addition to her Coaching Practice, Aurelia has written an eBook entitled Journey to Joy. Since this ebook appears on her sidebar, we decided to give that a fresh look as well.

This was a very enjoyable project to work on. Aurelia is a beautiful person with a great desire to help others. Now she has an updated web presence that will help her reach more of the people who need her encouragement and support.
Lastly, we provided Aurelia with some new graphics to use to promote her website and ebook.

Boost eBay Traffic with a Blog
We customized a free WordPress theme for eBay Mom, Jenn Cangelosi.

When Jenn started blogging about her auctions she saw an increase in traffic to her eBay Store – both from the blog and from Google.
Following our advice, Jenn has written blog posts that include descriptive text and pictures of the auction and store items she wants to highlight. She created links on her side bar from the blog to the individual categories of her eBay store so that visitors could easily browse ‘what else’ she had to offer.
Jenn is enthusiastic about her results so far and has even done some interesting tests where she paused her product blogging for two weeks to see what changed. Sure enough, traffic slowed back down. The lesson is clear – keep on blogging!
