Merging a Site with a Blog
Beth Jones had a site she had a difficult time working with and a Blogger blog with a look that she liked quite a bit. She came to Freshnets on the advice of a respected mentor with a goal of merging these two sites together into one WordPress site.
We got Beth set up on MomWebs hosting, installed WordPress, pulled her content from the old hosting and imported her Blogger content. The only burp along the way that we experienced involved all of her blogger hosted images. They ended up slightly enlarged on her new WordPress site – which mean we had to do some manual fixing on that.
We adapted her Blogger design to her new WordPress theme, keeping the look she liked and giving her a layout that features her most recent podcast and blog posts on the home page along with a personal greeting that she can easily change anytime she likes.
